Entry Pathway
1. Complete IO + 2 in any stream
2. Complete a Bachelor's degree in Tourism Studies/Tourism Management/Travel and Tour Management/Hospitality Management/ Archaeology or any other related subject and obtain license approved by the Ministry of Tourism to work as Tour Guide OR
Complete a B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) in Tourism and obtain license approved by the Ministry of Tourism to work as Tour Guide OR
Pursue Diploma or certificate course in Tourism/Travel and Tourism/Tourism Management and obtain license approved by the Ministry of Tourism to work as Tourist Guide OR
Pursue NSQF (National Skills Qualification Framework) Level 4 qualification in Tour Guide and obtain license approved by the Ministry of Tourism to work as Tourist Guide

Work Environment: It is a field job. You will be managing a team of tourists. Local travel is an important part of the job profile. Agencies usually works for 5 to 6 days a week and 8 to 9 hours every day. This may vary from agency to agency.
