All retail shops have a payment point which is handled by a cashier. As a retail cashier you learn to handle payment from customers and you have handle payments with cash, credit cards, debit cards, vouchers etc. You are trained in following cash point security procedure. You are also trained in handling routine cash point problems and how to solve problematic transactions with resolution. You are further trained in reading and interpreting data sheets and how to respond to security threat. Most importantly you are trained in being courteous to customers always.

Entry Pathway
Minimum Qualification • After completing class 10 and being minimum 18 years old you can enrol for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* level 2 Retail Cashier course.
* NSQF is a nationally integrated education and competency-based framework that enables persons to acquire desired competency levels in a chosen field. NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience
