Mechanical Fitters are trained in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems in Heavy Earth Moving Machinery like crushers, pumps, forklifts, medium and light vehicles, compressors and other mechanical equipment and assemblies used in a mine. They often work with more experienced technicians and supervisors. They are trained to use the various tools from a tool box and other machinery equipment.

Entry Pathway
Minimum Qualification • After completion of class 10 and minimum 18 years of age. Heavy Duty Vehicle license is mandatory for enrolling for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* Level 3 course for Mechanical Fitter

• After completion of ITI – Mechanical and after procuring a Heavy Duty Vehicle license you can enroll for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* Level 3 course for Mechanical Fitter
* NSQF is a nationally integrated education and competency-based framework that enables persons to acquire desired competency levels in a chosen field. NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience
