Entry Pathway
Minimum Qualification • After completion of class 8 and minimum age is 14, you can enrol for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* Level 3 for Electrician - General
OR
• After passing Class 10 you can enrol for NSQF Level 3 for ELectrician - General
OR
• A Diploma in Electrical Course from Industrial Training Institute.
After the ITI Electrician Course you can go for a Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Direct 2nd year) for 2 years. And after the completion of diploma you can go in for B.Tech/BE (2nd year ) and complete the course in 3 years.

NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience

Where will you work?
Places of work: Factories, workshops, power houses, business houses, residential premises
Entrepreneurship: You can provide home based service, connect yourself with any electrician shop, you yourself can set up supply, installation, maintenance of electrician service as well as enrol yourself to a service aggregator.
Work environment: Working hours are flexible, if you are part of a company, you must be prepared to work at a moment’s notice. Shift system might be applicable. This job involves travelling and leg work on a regular basis.
Opportunities for work exist for differently abled in this field
• The approx.salary of an Electrician - fresher ranges between INR 6,000 - 8,000 per month* • The approx. salary of an Electrician with 2 or more years’ experience range between INR 12,000 -15,000 per month*
