Hemodialysis technicians, also known as dialysis technicians, aid doctors or nurses to provide patient care to people with permanent kidney failure (end-stage renal disease). They are trained in the operation of a dialysis machine.

1. Complete 10+2 in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Biology)
2. Enrol for National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)• level 4 Certificate course - (Dialysis Technician) OR
3. Complete a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc) in Dialysis Technology OR
Complete a Diploma in Dialysis Technician

Rishiraj Singh did his graduation in 2004 and started his career as a dialysis technician in Navneet Hospital, Dahisar (Mumbai). He had a five-year informal training in a hospital. He then took the Dialysis Technician vocational training course. He is now the in-charge of four kidney care centres. "My monthly earning is more than INR 1 Lakh," he said.
