Closed Circuit Television or CCTV is a TV system in which signals are not publicly distributed but are monitored, primarily for surveillance and security. CCTV Installation technician are taught to understand the requirement of the customer and install the system as per the need of the client. They are taught to integrate the hardware and software. This includes selecting suitable cameras, DVR and applicable programs. An important role is also to repair any problem that arises with the system. They have to identify the faults with the system and repair them by fixing hardware/software.

Minimum Qualification • After completion of class 10 you may enrol for National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF)* course for CCTV Installation technician Level 4

• After completion of ITI course on Electrical or Electronics you may enrol for National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF)* course for CCTV Installation technician Level 4

NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience

Places of work: Security services providers, CCTV installation companies, Institution/colleges/companies/hotels etc employs personnel for taking care of cctv in the premises on regular basis.
Entrepreneurship: After gaining experience you can start providing your service for installation, service, repair and maintenance of CCTV system
Work Environment: This job required travel. Generally the workday is for 8/9 hours and 6 days a week. Shift systems and overtime work may be there.

Apart from him, there are 5 more members including his mother and siblings, who were dependent on his father’s income. He has studied till class 12.
