Computer Aided Design (CAD) aid in developing designs for weaving into carpets. The software is used to make designs in different patterns and colours which helps to visualise the final look of the carpets. You learn to use the software, create designs for the carpets until the planned design gets approval for production.

Entry Pathway
Minimum Qualification • After completion of class 12 in Science and at least 1-2 years’ experience in carpet weaving is required for enrolling in National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF)* level 5 CAD Designer for Carpets course. Certificate course in Auto Cad would be an added advantage.
* NSQF is a nationally integrated education and competency-based framework that enables persons to acquire desired competency levels in a chosen field. NSQF includes vocational education, vocational training, general education and technical education which prepares an individual for the job market with competent skills. An individual may return at any time to upgrade skills after gaining experience
