They also analyse different aspects of the sports, such as player performance, company performance, recruiting, and so on to make educated decisions that improve the performance of a certain team or sports organisation.

Opportunities for work exist for differently abled in this field
Kadambari Murali Wade, the only woman to hold that position at Hindustan Times, was the former editor-in-chief of Sports Illustrated India. After joining Sports Illustrated India in 2011, she began writing for the monthly magazine and began writing about cricket. Kadambari is India's longest-serving national editor, having received the Sports Journalist Federation of India's Cricket Writers award in 2006 and 2007. She is also recognized for being the first to report about the BCCI's plans to establish the Indian Premier League for cricket.*
