The Indian Foreign Service was established to handle political, commercial, consular and all other tasks overseas. As a career diplomat, the Foreign Service Officer is required to project India's interests, both at home and abroad on a wide variety of issues These include bilateral political and economic cooperation, trade and investment promotion, cultural interaction, press and media liaison as well as a whole host of multilateral issues

Work Environment: You are likely to be posted in India or abroad. You will work in an office set UP. You Will handle a team of officials. It is a transferrable job. You are likely to work 5 to 6 days a week and 8 to 9 hours every day.
