An Airline Cargo Assistant is responsible for the smooth management of air cargo operations. This includes, but are not limited to documentation, customer service, acceptance, delivery, equipment operation and transport.

Work Environment: It is not a desk job. You will not handle a team at the entry level. Local travel is necessary. Part-time work and contractual jobs are not available. You are likely to work 5 to 6 days a week and 8 to 9 hours every day.

Rijesh Kumar currently works as a senior customer service agent with Air India. Between April l, 2008 to March 31, 2009 he worked as a cargo assistant with Air India Calicut International Airport. His responsibilities included weighing cargo, preparation of export cargo and updating of Import/Export Register among others. Kumar has done his Bachelor's in Mathematics from MG University Kottayam, Kerala.*
