An Allergist or Immunologist is a physician specially trained to diagnose, treat and manage allergies, asthma and immunologic disorders including primary immunodeficiency disorders. Entry Pathway
1. Complete 10+2 in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
2. Complete a Bachelor’s degree (MBBS) followed by an MD in General Medicine
OR
Complete MBBS followed by an MD in Immunohematology/Allergy & Clinical Immunology/ Transfusion Medicine or any related subject and then pursue DM in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology or any similar discipline
OR
Complete a Bachelor’s in Immunology/Microbiology/Chemistry/Biology followed by a Master’s and PhD in the same or related field
OR
Complete a Diploma in Immunology followed by a post graduate diploma in the same or related subject
For admissions, you can appear for entrance exams such as NEET (National Eligibility Entrance exam) for MBBS, NEET- PG (Post Graduate Medical Entrance after MBBS), INI CET (National Importance Combined Entrance Test) for admission into MD (Doctorate of Medicine) Program
