The BSF or Border Security Force is India's border guarding organisation which is known as the 1st line of defence and also one of the seven Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) of India. A BSF Jawan is responsible for promoting a sense of security among the people living in the border areas, as well as preventing trans-border crimes such as smuggling and unauthorised entry into or exit from the territory of India.

Entry Pathway
1. Complete 10+2 in any stream, preferably the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
2. You have to then appear for a BSF exam and pass the subsequent physical Measurement test and efficiency tests.
OR
Complete a Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc.) in any Engineering course.
OR
Complete a Bachelor's degree following which you can pursue a PG Diploma in Engineering. For admission into the Engineering course, you must clear examinations such as JEE Advanced, JEE Main, MET, VITEEE, MHT CET, SRMJEE, COMEDK, UGET, KCET and so on.
