1. Complete class 10 + 2 in the Science stream (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics)
2. Complete a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Physics/Computer Science/Information Technology/Computer Applications and then take the SSC IMD Scientific Assistant exam
OR
Complete a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and then take the SSC IMD Scientific Assistant exam
OR
Complete a Bachelor's degree followed by a Master's degree (M.Sc.) in the same or related discipline and then take the SSC IMD Scientific Assistant exam
